Actual Inspection Photos
Below are some sample inspection photos pointing out problems found during an inspection. While some problems may be obvious, others may require an experience professional to spot correctly.

White efflorescence (powder substance) on block wall indicate moisture is in contact with masonry. This does not necessarily mean that intrusion will occur. Recommend checking gutters, downspout drain lines for proper operation. Also, a water proofing paint could be applied to interior side of block if necessary. Efflorescence is found on many homes without water intrusion occurring inside the home. But, it should alert you to the possibility that future steps may be needed.

Soffit panel on bottom side of chimney needs sealing around hole to prevent birds or bees etc. from making a home. Recommend repair as necessary.

Two floor joist(s) are missing joist hangers or ledger strips under hall. Recommend repair as necessary.

Basket strainer has improper connections or repairs. Recommend a licensed plumber correct.

Subfloor is deteriorated or weak along bathtub.

Main girder is deteriorated. Repairs made are inadequate and need further repairs or replacement of girder. Recommend a structural engineer evaluate further. At least three supports under downstairs kitchen are missing.
